What you can expect

Step into the world’s oldest living rainforest on this immersive 3-day adventure through Tropical North Queensland. From soaring above the canopy on the Skyrail gondola to cruising quietly along crocodile-infested rivers, this nature-rich escape blends wild beauty with cultural depth. Walk in the footsteps of Sir David Attenborough, connect with First Nations people, and discover where the rainforest meets the reef, all in three unforgettable days.

Day 1: Kuranda and Port Douglas
After a welcome meeting at 10am in Cairns, we’ll take the Skyrail gondola ride, floating over ancient rainforest, the Barron River, and surrounding mountains, to the charming village of Kuranda. Explore its colourful markets before heading north to the relaxed town of Port Douglas. You’ll have free time to wander the vibrant streets and can join the group for dinner, drinks, and a beautiful sunset at the end of the day.

Enjoy a guided walk through lush jungle, towering trees, and flowing streams. In the afternoon, experience the culture of the Kuku Yalanji people. Learn about their traditional customs, bush foods, and spiritual connection to the land in this immersive cultural experience.

Day 3: Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation & Crocodile Cruise

After a short ferry ride, we’ll take a walk through ancient rainforest with an opportunity to spot wildlife like the rare cassowary. In the afternoon, enjoy an eco-friendly, solar-powered boat cruise on the Daintree River. Keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles, frogs, birds, and more with the help of your expert guide and the “CROC CAM.” Afterwards, we take a scenic coastal drive back to Cairns, where your tour concludes around 6pm.
