What you can expect

  • Make the most of your Yala visit with a shared jeep safari, a stay at Go Yala, and freshly prepared Sri Lankan food.

    Arrive at the property and settle into the accommodation included in your chosen option: an air-conditioned dorm bed at Go Yala Hostel, a private budget room, or a private room at Go Yala Farm Villa. The hostel and villa are on the same property, surrounded by gardens and rural scenery.

    Take a walk through the farm’s fruit and vegetable gardens and visit the nearby lake area. Later, relax at the property and enjoy a home-cooked Sri Lankan dinner. Meals are prepared with local and seasonal ingredients when available.

    Choose the shared safari that suits your plans:

    •⁠ ⁠Morning safari: Approximately 5:00 AM–12:00 PM, with breakfast.
    •⁠ ⁠Afternoon safari: Approximately 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, with snacks.
    •⁠ ⁠Full-day safari: Approximately 5:00 AM–6:00 PM, with breakfast and lunch.

    Set out into Yala National Park in a shared jeep with an experienced local driver-guide. Searching for Yala’s elusive leopards is a highlight of the safari: your driver-guide will use their knowledge of the park to look for signs of leopard activity and choose promising routes. Along the way, watch for sloth bears, elephants, crocodiles, deer, water buffalo and birds. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

    Your booking includes the accommodation, safari and meals specified in the option you select. Check your option for the number of nights and room type. Yala National Park entry is not included and must be paid separately. Please bring your passport for park entry registration. Transport from other cities can be arranged for an additional charge.
