Discover the dark side of Romanian history on a tour through Bucharest's past, covering 500 years and 110 km in a classic Romanian car from the 80s. We'll cover 500 years from Vlad the Impaler, aka Dracula, the actual founder of Bucharest, to Ceausescu's time, when the gigantic House of People was built and paid for in blood.
Expect anything from beheadings, mass arson, impaling or poisoning during Dracula's time to the 70s vampire serial killer, the phantoms of the House of Parliament or cannibalism in the Old City. The places where Romania's darkest stories from the last 500 years took place will be revealed.
Self-made, overnight billionaire bootleggers during Ceausescu's time or million USD robberies from the National Bank of Socialist Romania complete the dark stories of this tour, each told in its historical context.
The tour ends with a visit to Dracula's assassination and burial place, within a hidden Romanian monastery in a natural reservation that also hosts an ossuary of the victims from WWI.
