Meet at the Surfrider at Marina Shores and begin your stand up paddleboarding journey around Broad Bay Island. This approximately 4.6-mile paddle route follows scenic waterways lined with coastal homes, boats, and natural surroundings, offering a rewarding way to experience Virginia Beach from the water. The experience is intended for experienced paddlers because of the intermittent currents and distance involved, making it a great option for those already comfortable on a paddleboard. Participants complete a full loop around the island before returning to the launch area. The duration is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Upon completing the route, participants receive a commemorative T-shirt recognizing the accomplishment.
