The City Botanic Gardens is Queensland’s oldest heritage garden, initially established in 1828 as the food garden for the new colony of Brisbane. A living museum of plant collections, the Botanic Gardens display early heritage specimens through to present day exotic and native plantings. We are passionate about creating memorable experiences for the discerning traveller. Simply arrive at your very own private picnic which includes low set tables, fresh floral centrepieces, table decorations, assorted pillows, picnic rugs, and a table setting for each guest. A delicious spread of grazing platters will line the centre of the tables. Once your allocated time of 3 hours has finished, simply get up and leave and we’ll take care of the pack down.
