Immerse yourself in the world of Bordeaux red wines with an intimate and instructive tasting experience designed to sharpen your senses and expand your wine knowledge. While Bordeaux is globally famous for its red wines, its true diversity often remains unexplored.
During this experience, you’ll learn how to approach tasting like a professional, discovering the essential contrasts between the Left Bank and the Right Bank — from the structured, long-lived expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon found in the Médoc to the rounder, fruit-driven Merlot styles typical of Saint-Émilion.
Led by Cécilia and her team, certified wine professionals trained at the Université du Vin, the tasting includes four selected red wines plus a surprise glass, each chosen to showcase a different interpretation of Bordeaux.
You’ll explore single-varietal wines that highlight the character of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, refined blends from family-run organic estates, and renowned Grand Cru examples, including one aged wine to appreciate how Bordeaux evolves over time.
The experience is welcoming and accessible, suitable for both newcomers and seasoned wine enthusiasts. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into key winemaking decisions such as grape selection, terroir, and vinification methods, and how these elements influence aromas, structure, and ageing potential.
Each wine is accompanied by artisan charcuterie, carefully paired to enhance the tasting. You’ll also receive a personal tasting booklet to help you revisit the experience and continue your exploration at home.
Depending on the season, tastings are hosted in a stone tasting room, a private courtyard, or within the cool atmosphere of an underground cellar. Wines featured during the tasting are available for purchase on site. If members of your group prefer white wines, alternative options can be arranged in advance, including a dedicated Bordeaux white wine tasting.
