Experience a special evening dedicated to nature conservation and gain fascinating insights into the conservation work for sea turtles on Boa Vista.
After a drive of about 35 minutes (depending on the nesting beach assigned by the Ministry of the Environment), we arrive at one of the island's official sea turtle conservation camps. There you will be greeted by a biologist and a qualified conservationist and, during a guided visit, you will receive fascinating information about the biology, nesting behaviour, and conservation measures for sea turtles in Cape Verde.
Your guide will then explain the rules of conduct for responsible and ethical nature observation. The protection of the animals and their natural habitat is the top priority throughout the entire activity.
Meanwhile, the conservation staff will check the conditions on the beach. Only when the situation is suitable for the animals and the conservation experts give the green light will we head to the nesting beach together with the biologist and the nature guide.
There you will have the opportunity to learn about the natural nesting activity of sea turtles. All observations are carried out exclusively under the supervision of the nature conservation experts and in strict compliance with the official protection guidelines of the Ministry of the Environment.
After this unique nature experience, we will return to the camp and then drive back to your hotel.
Creolo Tour is certified by the Cape Verde Ministry of the Environment for this activity and meets all the necessary requirements for conducting responsible nature experiences during the turtle season from July 1 to October 31.
With over four years of experience, environmental ethics, sustainability, and respectful treatment of the animals are our top priorities. A portion of the proceeds supports local nature conservation and sea turtle protection projects on Boa Vista.
