Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Bishkek. Meet your private guide and hop into a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. Head along the scenic highway to the Kok-Moinok canyons, often called the “Mars” of Kyrgyzstan due to its dramatic red rock formations shaped by wind and water.
Enjoy a peaceful experience in this less-crowded canyon. Spend 1.5–2 hours walking through the canyons, taking photos, and soaking in the silence of this remote landscape.
Next, drive to the town of Balykchy on the western shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Walk along the shore, dip your feet in the water, or simply relax and enjoy the mountain views. Swimming may be possible in summer, depending on weather and local conditions.
For lunch, choose between a picnic by the lake with local snacks and drinks or a meal at a local cafe. After lunch, drive back to Bishkek with photo stops along the way.
Prices are per participant, with a minimum of two people per booking. The canyon walk takes around 1.5–2 hours on uneven terrain; wear sturdy shoes and sun protection. Stop timing depends on traffic and conditions.
