    The tour begins with a scenic drive to Big Almaty Lake, one of the most iconic alpine landmarks near the city. Located at 2,511 metres above sea level, the lake is known for its dramatic mountain setting and ever-changing turquoise colours. Please note that the lake is a protected water reservoir, and access is limited to designated viewpoints.

    After visiting Big Almaty Lake, the journey continues to Ayusai Gorge, a modern eco-area inside Ile-Alatau National Park. Here, you will take a short and easy walk to the first Ayusai Waterfall, surrounded by forest and mountain scenery.

    Next, enjoy a relaxed coffee break at the Ayusai Visitor Centre, a popular local spot where travellers can rest and warm up.

    The experience is completed with a visit to a falcon farm, where you’ll learn about Kazakhstan’s ancient falconry traditions and see birds of prey up close — a cultural element rarely included in standard mountain tours.
