What you can expect

  • Have an early breakfast at your hotel around 5:00 a.m. and head to Ngorongoro Crater. You can talk with your hotel about this schedule so they can prepare you a packed breakfast.

    Ngorongoro is the park where, within a single day, you can spot all of the Big Five and other animals, such as wild cats, flamingos in Lake Makat, zebras, many wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, and giraffes at the rim.

    Have lunch at the picnic site (Hippo Pool), and after lunch, do a little game drive. From 3:00 p.m., start a game drive en route while exiting the park. From 5:30 p.m., you’ll be in Arusha City.
