Join me for a guided adventure through the captivating landscapes of the Moravian Karst. We’ll meet in Blansko, easily reachable by train from Brno, and travel by car to the village of Šošůvka. There, I’ll lead you up Helišova skála (613 m) while sharing fascinating stories about how this unique landscape was shaped by an ancient sea.
As we walk towards Holštejn, I’ll point out sinkholes and emerging rocky outcrops. Together, we'll explore the mysterious Hladomorna Cave, once a medieval castle prison, and uncover legends surrounding its past. Above it, we’ll visit the ruins of a grand fortress and hear tales of the noble lords who once lived here.
After marvelling at a stunning sinkhole reminiscent of a mythical gateway, we’ll stop for lunch at a cosy, family-run restaurant. On our return, I’ll guide you through more fascinating caves and geological wonders, including a massive sinkhole over 170 years old. End your journey back in Blansko for an easy trip to Brno.
