Begin your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup in city centre Beijing. Meet your English-speaking guide and driver, then board a clean, air-conditioned private car. Relax on the 1.5-hour drive north to Yanqing as your guide introduces you to the history of Shuiguan and the scenic beauty of Longqing Gorge.
Arrive at the Shuiguan Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the three major Great Wall passes. Explore the well-preserved Ming Wall, towers, and gates, and enjoy panoramic mountain views. Spend 2 hours walking along the wall, taking photos, and soaking in the history.
Next, savour an authentic northern Chinese set meal at a nearby restaurant. Enjoy a variety of dishes, including meat, vegetables, and rice or noodles. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
After lunch, take a scenic 35-minute drive through forests and villages to Longqing Gorge, known as the “Northern Guilin.” Admire the green peaks, clear lake, and karst scenery. Board a cruise boat for a 40-minute journey through the gorge, passing cliffs, waterfalls, and islands.
After the cruise, stroll along lakeside paths, visit the Jingang Temple, and enjoy the stunning views. Please note that the cable car is optional and not part of this package.
Finally, relax on the drive back to Beijing, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, concluding your 8-hour tour.
