08:00: Meet up with our driver at the meeting point in city centre Beijing and board the bus for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. 10:30: Arrive at Jinshanling and select your own hiking options: Option 1: Loop hiking from Mid Gate to East Gate 3.5-4 hours/7km Good body shape, hiking experience, active adventurers, many big step, elevation gain up to 450m Option 2: Return hiking through Mid Gate 2.5-3.5hours, many options, referred to our maps Seniors, people with knee problem 14:30: Back to the car park and drive back to Beijing. 17:00-17:30: Back to the same meeting point in city centre, timing depends on traffic. This section offers arguably the finest hiking anywhere on the Great Wall. It is extremely photogenic, with over 15 watch-towers, and steep gradients that give constantly changing perspectives and wide, open views. This section of the wall is wild, ruined, preserved and original. On a clear day, it is difficult to fail to take good photographs here.
