Overview

  • Private Basque Cheese & Cider Experience from San Sebastián
Discover two authentic pillars of Basque rural life in one private day.
Your guide choices you up in San Sebastián and takes you into the green Larraun valley to visit a family cheese farm producing Idiazabal cheese from Latxa sheep milk. Learn about the traditional process and enjoy a tasting.
Continue to Begiristain, one of the oldest and most authentic cider houses in Gipuzkoa. Walk through the apple orchards and cellars, then experience the classic txotx ritual — tasting natural cider straight from the wooden barrels. Sit down to the traditional cider-house menu: cod omelette, grilled steak (txuleta), cheese, walnuts and quince, with unlimited cider.
