The experience begins in Milan, where you’ll meet your guide and travel comfortably towards the renowned Barolo wine region. As the city fades away, rolling hills, vineyards, and historic villages gradually define the landscape.

Your first stop is a scenic viewpoint in La Morra, one of the most iconic overlooks in Piedmont. A short walk leads to the panoramic terrace, offering breathtaking views across the UNESCO-listed Barolo vineyards — an ideal moment for photos and to fully take in the beauty of the region.

The journey continues to the village of Barolo, the birthplace of one of Italy’s most legendary wines. Surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, Barolo offers a first-time glimpse into authentic Italian village life — wine shops filled with local bottles, cafés spilling into the street, and scenic viewpoints just steps away. This is your opportunity to explore freely, enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice, and simply absorb the atmosphere of a place where tradition, beauty, and wine are inseparable.

In the afternoon, the experience moves beneath the surface, revealing one of the most extraordinary wine sites in Italy. You’ll descend into monumental underground wine cathedrals, officially recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site — vast, cathedral-like chambers carved deep into the earth. Walking through these silent tunnels feels almost sacred. Massive stone vaults stretch overhead, barrels rest in near darkness, and the air carries the weight of centuries of tradition. This is not simply a wine cellar, but a hidden world where architecture, history, and winemaking exist in perfect harmony.

The visit concludes with a guided tasting of prestigious local wines, including Barolo and other celebrated expressions from the region. Tasting these wines in such a powerful, atmospheric setting transforms them from something you drink into something you truly experience.

After the tasting, relax on the return drive to Milan, arriving in the early evening with unforgettable memories of Barolo’s landscapes, culture, and wines.
