What you can expect

  • 08:00AM start your journey with a pickup from the Banyuwangi accommodation, Ketapang port, Airport.
    Head approx 1 hour journey to visit Djawatan forest (or mini Lord of the Rings). Continue driving to Merubetiri National Park, a journey that takes approximately 2 hours using a trooper Jeep. Arrive at the park and continue tracking to Green Bay Beach to enjoy the beautiful beach with a view of the bay and white sand.
    Spend some time swimming and relaxing on the beach. Return to Sukamade Beach using a Jeep, which will take approximately 1-2 hours. Arrive at the beach and check in at the Sukamade homestay.
    Rest for a while before tracking and hunting for turtle eggs or see the baby turtle in conservation centre. Enjoy dinner and prepare for a 1 km tracking to the beach.
    20:00PM Briefing with the forest ranger and hunting for turtle eggs (If you have found turtles laying eggs then return to the homestay).
    Return to accommodation and rest to prepare for the release of turtles the next day.

    Day 2:
    06:00AM Prepare for the release of the baby turtles on the beach.
    Return to acconnodation for breakfast and prepare to check out.
    08:00-09:00AM Head to Banyuwangi city centre, airpot, or harbour (5 hours journey).
    Our services will be finished at Banyuwangi (approx 13:00-14:00PM)
