Join me for a memorable journey through Kenyan food, culture and hospitality in Nairobi. Your experience begins with a guided visit to a vibrant local market, where we’ll explore colourful stalls, discover fresh ingredients, interact with local vendors and experience everyday Kenyan life beyond the usual tourist path.
After the market tour, we’ll head to my cosy home on the peaceful outskirts of Nairobi for a hands-on cooking experience inspired by authentic Kenyan family traditions. Together, we’ll prepare beloved local dishes such as aromatic pilau, handmade chapati, creamy mukimo, hearty githeri, traditional ugali, fresh kachumbari, sukuma wiki, and delicious kuku kienyeji (traditional free-range chicken).
As we cook, you’ll hear stories behind the dishes, learn about Kenyan food culture and discover how meals bring people together across communities and generations. This experience is interactive, relaxed and perfect for travellers looking to connect with Kenya in a more personal and meaningful way.
Guests from around the world;including Europe, Asia, America, and across Africa have shared laughter, conversation and unforgettable meals around my table. Whether you’re a food lover, solo traveller, couple, or group of friends, this experience offers a true taste of Kenyan warmth and hospitality.
Come hungry, curious, and ready to cook, learn, and create lasting memories in one of Nairobi’s most authentic cultural food experiences. Karibu sana!
