Australia Zoo is the most interactive conservation destination on the planet, offering visitors the chance to get up-close and personal with amazing animals including koalas, wombats and kangaroos!

From what was once a two acre wildlife sanctuary, Australia Zoo has grown to be 105 acres with over 1,200 native and exotic animals on display - making it easy to see why the Irwin family call Australia Zoo home.

Australia Zoo is also home to some of the world’s deadliest snakes, the world’s largest land-living lizard (the Komodo dragon), the world’s tallest land animal (the giraffe) and the world’s fastest land mammal (the cheetah)! There are impressive birds of prey and of course, Australia’s largest apex predator; the saltwater crocodile!

Check out giraffes, rhinos, zebras and cheetahs at the African Savannah, and majestic tigers and red pandas in South-East Asia. Visit Bindi’s Island, where you can explore a three-storey treehouse with sweeping views of Australia Zoo and see the roaming ring-tailed lemurs, giant Aldabran Tortoises, colourful macaws and more!

Watch the world-famous Wildlife Warriors show at noon, with all the slithering, swooping, jaw-snapping action of saltwater crocodiles, birds and snakes LIVE in the Crocoseum. And don’t forget to stop by the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital – the largest and busiest facility of its kind in the Australia – where you can watch vets saving endangered Australian animals.

Australia Zoo also provides a variety of animal encounters and tours, allowing guests the opportunity to learn all there is to know about the Zoo and all the wonderful animals. Explore behind the scenes and go where few visitors have gone before with the Platinum Zoo Adventure, which includes a personal tour guide and photographer to ensure an unforgettable day out!

It was our second time visiting Australia Zoo in three years. Loved it and will definitely go again next time we are here

The zoo is impressive, built to crunch through lots of tourists as quickly as possible. Had been years ago when it was a quiet little place, and gain over the years as it developed. Seems to have lost a little of its soul, in doing so but still a great place to visit. Zoo seems to be run by lots of volunteers, great to see but pity there's isn't many paid jobs out there for them.

This park just gets better with age. I don’t mind spending my money there because you can see it been put back into the park. It just keeps getting better and the young Irwin’s are amazing.
