5 hours, 3 wine tastings, with lunch in the middle, and a pace that actually lets you enjoy it. This is one of the most popular tours on Waiheke Island—and once you're on it, you'll see why. You’ll enjoy proper sit-down tastings at three wineries, plus a relaxed lunch stop at either Batch Winery or Charley Farley’s, arranged according to availability. Lunch is at your own expense.
Your guide’s a local Waihekian. They live here. They know the winemakers, the island’s hidden gems, and the little stories behind the island and the people who call it home.
The best day out on Waiheke Island.
Matiatia Ferry Terminal — Meet Your Guide. We'll pick you up right at the ferry terminal. Your local guide's waiting for you with a welcome board with your name on it — and from the moment you step on, the island, the stories start flowing. Sit back, soak up the scenery, and let someone who actually lives here show you around.
First Vineyard — Your first stop is the beautiful Cable Bay vineyard tucked into the hillside. A proper sit-down tasting to ease you into the day — with stunning views over the Hauraki Gulf.
Stop for lunch at Batch Winery or Charley Farley’s, with the venue arranged according to availability. Enjoy sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf at Batch or the beautiful beachfront setting at Charley Farley’s. Settle in with delicious food and a glass of wine, soak up the scenery, and get to know your fellow travellers. Lunch and drinks are at your own expense.
Stonyridge Vineyard — home to some seriously world-class reds. Another proper tasting in a gorgeous setting under the olive trees or the cellar door. This is usually the one where people start whispering about shipping a case home.
Mudbrick Vineyard — Mudbrick is the vineyard on Waiheke — and your final tasting comes with the Hauraki Gulf sparkling below you and Auckland sitting across the water. One of those moments where you just stop and breathe it all in.
Flexible Finish We'll take you back to the ferry at 340pm — or if you're not ready for the day to end (and most people aren't), Plenty of our guests grab a table at the last venue for dinner and watch the sunset over the Gulf. Others wander into Oneroa for cocktails. It's your day — we just make it easy to keep going.
