What you can expect

  • Take control of your own Yamaha VX jet ski and set out on a two hour self drive adventure across Auckland’s beautiful Hauraki Gulf.

    Go fast, cruise the coastline, head out fishing or explore sheltered bays around the Whangaparāoa Peninsula. With two hours on the water, you have plenty of time to enjoy much more than a quick ride around the bay and create an adventure that suits you.

    Travel along the coastline, stop for a break and experience the Hauraki Gulf at your own pace.

    Enjoy independent exploration with peace of mind. Your jet ski is monitored through real time GPS tracking, and remote assistance is available while you are on the water. Contact the team for directions, route advice, operating assistance or guidance whenever needed, giving you the freedom of a self drive adventure without feeling completely on your own.

    Depending on weather and sea conditions, your two hour rental can take you along extended sections of coastline with views towards islands such as Tiritiri Matangi. Suggested routes and suitable areas will be discussed during your safety briefing. Routes may be adjusted for the safest and most enjoyable experience.

    Each Yamaha jet ski can carry up to two adults and one child, subject to a combined maximum weight of 190 kilogrammes. One person drives while passengers can swap, provided every driver meets the minimum requirements and completes the safety briefing.

    No licence or previous jet ski experience is required. Before departure, you will receive clear operating instructions, a comprehensive safety briefing, lifejackets, local route information and practical advice to help you feel comfortable and confident on the water.

    Your rental includes:
