Immerse yourself in the mountainous landscapes of Quindío and experience the magic of Colombian coffee from its origin to the cup.
Just 30 minutes from city centre Armenia, the MAJUVA Coffee Sightseeing Tour – “Coffee, a Love Story” is an immersive experience lasting approximately two and a half hours that connects visitors with the Coffee Cultural Landscape from the farm to the cup, including transport in a Willis Jeep, the company of professional tour guides, and an interpretive tour of the El Jardín farm.
The experience aims to help visitors understand the value of Colombian coffee not only from a production perspective, but also from a human, cultural, and sensory point of view, realising that there's always a storey to tell behind each cup.
The plan includes transport from Armenia to the coffee farm, a tour of the farm, an explanation of coffee harvesting and processing, roasting of a 100-gram sample, a tour guide in Spanish, English, or French, a full tour of the coffee production process, and a guided tasting of three experimental coffee processes.
Upon arrival at the estate, you'll start your sightseeing tour with a guided walk through the coffee plantations. There you will learn how each bean is planted, cared for, and harvested, following traditional practices that have been passed down from generation to generation. You'll learn about manual selection, de-pulping, and drying, while enjoying the beauty of the coffee plantations surrounded by mountains and nature.
The visit culminates with a guided coffee tasting, where you will put your senses to the test. With the help of our tour guide, you'll learn to identify the flavour notes, the fruity or chocolatey aromas, and the characteristics that make Colombian coffee a global benchmark.
Whether you're a coffee lover, curious to learn, or simply looking for an authentic activity in Quindío, this sightseeing tour combines nature, tradition, and technique in a single day.
