What you can expect

Head out from Mendoza's hustle and bustle and spend a day in the mountains. Over the course of this guided full-day tour, see the pre-Andes, interesting small villages, stunning rivers, sprawling mountain peaks, and natural hot springs.

Make your way to the pre-Andes mountains and ascend to an altitude of 9,840 feet (3,000 metre). Admire the spectacular scenery of the picturesque Upsallata Valley, where you hike along the Pan-American Highway. The trail passes through small mountain villages like Picheuta, Polvaredas, and Punta de Vacas, continuing to the famous ski centre of Los Penitentes.

Next, venture to Puente del Inca (Inca's Bridge), approximately 8,924 feet (2,720 metre) above sea level. At Las Cuevas River, see how thermal water flows under a natural bridge before heading to a viewpoint near the Chilean border. Marvel at the impressive panorama dominated by Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Soutehrn Hemisphere.

Depending on the weather, you might even visit the Christ the Redeemer monument, which stands 13,779 feet (4,200 metre) tall, built as a symbol of the Argentine-Chilean fraternity.
