Join us for an exciting journey that touches the soul and the beauty of the Adriatic Sea. We will start the morning in Recanati, the city of poetry that was the birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi. We will stroll through the charming historic old town until we reach the famous Colle dell'Infinito, where you can admire the panorama that inspired one of the most famous poems in world literature. We will visit the exterior of Leopardi's birthplace and the Garden of Infinity, a place where time seems to have stopped.
Following lunch at leisure, we will move on to Ancona, the Doric capital recently named the Italian Capital of Culture 2028. After a photo stop at the monumental Passetto, we will take the bus to the top of Colle Guasco, where the Acropolis of the Greek-Doric city once stood. Here we will visit the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, a Romanesque-Byzantine masterpiece from which you can enjoy a memorable view of the gulf. From this monumental spot, we will begin our guided walk towards the historic old town: we will descend through the narrow streets of the old town to discover the hidden treasures of Ancona, its views of the harbour, and the traces of its thousand-year history as a seaside city, concluding the tour in the beating heart of the capital.
