What you can expect

Visit one of the most important cities of ancient times, Corinth, and then explore the Monastery of Daphni, a 11th-century Byzantine monastery listed as an World Heritage site together with Monasteries Hosios Loukas and Nea Moni of Chios.

Enjoy a scenic ride towards the first stop of the Monastery of Daphni, a 11th-century Byzantine monastery listed as an World Heritage site together with Monasteries Hosios Loukas and Nea Moni of Chios. The interior of the church is decorated with superb mosaics, a unique, fine example of the Classical idealism of Middle Byzantine art. The crowded scenes of the mosaics narrate scenes from the life of Christ and the Virgin.

Drive along the scenic Greek coast en route to Corinth, a city blessed with natural springs and fertile land. Once the centre of trade of ancient Greece, the city also played a key role in many Greek wars because it connects the mainland with the Peloponnese. This megalopolis was the place where Apostle Paul came, worked, and established a thriving church.

Visit the ruins of the ancient city where Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla, see the remains of the first century shops, the Agora where Paul’s trial by Gallio took place, the Fountain of Peirene, and one of the most outstanding monuments of pre –Roman period, the temple of Apollo built in 650 BC. Wander around the pillars and along walls of this ancient shrine before returning to Athens.
