    Located 17 km from the city centre of Bartın, Güzelcehisar Bay is a significant attraction that captivates visitors with its forests, sea, sand, and unique sunsets. The lava columns on the Güzelcehisar coast, estimated to be 80 million years old, are also a major point of interest in the region.

    Starting from the western end of Güzelcehisar's 850-meter-long beach and rising like a wall from the sea, these columnar lava rock formations extend along the coastline to Mugada. Declared a Natural Monument in 2017, the Güzelcehisar Lava Columns are a rare natural wonder found in only four locations worldwide and exclusively in Bartın, Turkey.
