7:00 a.m. We begin the tour by picking up passengers from their respective hotels, and we’ll set off on your adventure to the beautiful destination of Alto Mayo. Our first stop will be at the Sandra and Michel Nursery, a space dedicated to the conservation and display of various species of orchids. During the visit, we’ll learn about the different varieties, their characteristics, and the importance of these beautiful flowers, which are representative of the region’s biodiversity. We’ll then continue on to Makisapa – La Ruta del Café, where we’ll discover the coffee-making process, from the selection of raw materials to the final product. We’ll learn more about coffee production in the area and enjoy an experience filled with the aromas and flavours unique to the jungle. Afterwards, we’ll head to Chacra Vieja, where we’ll sample traditional regional drinks, prepared with local ingredients that reflect Amazonian tradition and culture.
