Welcome to the Alcalá World Heritage Site Sightseeing Tour!

This sightseeing tour will give you the perfect introduction to understanding a city with over 2,000 years of history. We'll discover the ins and outs of the world's first University City, designed by Cardinal Cisneros, the coexistence of the “3 Cultures” in Alcalá, and, of course, the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, the genius behind Don Quixote.

We'll start at Plaza de las Bernardas, a quiet spot that will allow us to gradually explore the Old Town. We're saving the highlight, the University, for last… like the climax of a good novel! All seasoned with fun facts, entertaining explanations, and a final game.

What will we visit?

We'll visit the most iconic spots and, depending on the time slot chosen, we'll enjoy admission to some landmarks:

· Plaza de las Bernardas (Starting point)
· Archbishop's Palace
· Casa de la Entrevista (House of the Interview)
· Collegiate Church of the Holy Martyrs
· Calle Mayor
· Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes (Cervantes' Birthplace Museum)
· Old Hospital of Antezana
· Plaza de Cervantes
· Corral de Comedias Theatre
· Capilla del Oidor (where Cervantes' baptismal certificate is kept)
· Old University of Alcalá

Know before you go

To make your experience complete, we have adapted the tours to groups of 20 people maximum and according to the opening hours of the landmarks:

· 10:00 a.m. sightseeing tour – Includes admission to the Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes.
· 12:00 PM Sightseeing Tour – Includes admission to the Chapel of the Oidor.
· 4:00 p.m. Sightseeing Tour – Includes admission to the Chapel of the Oidor.
· 6:00 PM Sightseeing Tour - Outdoor Route. Due to the closing times of the landmarks, we will enjoy all the heritage from the main squares and streets.
