We start from Akita city.
After 1 our drive, we can drop in miso and soya sauce shop to enjoy tasting miso soup and local pickled vegetables.
In this shop, unique soya sauce taste soft ice cream can be enjoyed, do not miss it.
Then we move into Kakunodate Samurai street.
Ishiguro samurai house is still in use of living.
The head of the family is 13th generation of Ishiguro family.
He may talk about the samurai building.
Next one is Aoyagi samurai house.
It is a kind of museum where you can see lots of samurai armour, clothes and helmets.
You can take nice picture wearing samurai helmets on.
after visiting samurai houses, you can enjoy local speciality called miso-tanpo which is grilled pounded rice with sweet miso paste.
I definitely recommend this.
After around 2 hours stay in Kakunodate, we will drive back to Akita city.
