Begin your adventure with arrival in Addis Ababa and an optional city tour before flying to Gondar. From there, drive to Debark for park registration and continue into the Simien Mountains to start trekking from Sankaber.

Over the next days, hike through Geech, Chenek, and Ambikwa, enjoying breathtaking viewpoints, high-altitude ridges, and remote wilderness campsites. Trek for approximately 4–9 hours per day through one of Africa’s most spectacular mountain ranges, staying in basic mountain camps surrounded by nature.

Encounter endemic wildlife such as Gelada baboons and Walia ibex, hike along dramatic cliffs and deep valleys, and finally challenge yourself to reach the summit of Ras Dashen (4,543m), the highest peak in Ethiopia.

One of the highlights of the tour is the summit day to Ras Dashen, where you will start early in the morning, climb to the top, and enjoy panoramic views of the entire Simien mountain range before returning to base camp. After the summit, the trek continues down through scenic valleys and traditional villages, giving you a deeper cultural experience of rural Ethiopian life.

On the final days, exit the mountains and return to Gondar, where you can relax and explore the historic Royal Enclosure, Fasilides Bath, and ancient churches before your departure.
