Aberdeenshire has many treasures to offer, and we take you on a private tour to some amazing castles, historic areas and a whisky distillery in areas that are stunning as they are interesting. All the castles, all very different to each other and cover 1000’s of years of history. This fabulous day out is a true flavour of Scotland.

Access to the castle interiors and Distillery Tasting Tours are subject to seasonal opening times. Access to most castles grounds is free, except Balmoral.

You must be over 18 to taste the whisky during the Distillery tour but younger people are welcome.

Dunnottar Castle

One of Scotland's and the worlds most spectacular castles, Dunnottar is a ruined medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland near Stonehaven. The surviving buildings date back to between the 13th and 16th centuries, but was originally fortified in the Early Middle Ages. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£9.50 pp)

Crathes Castle

Fascinating 16th Century Castle with turrets, gargoyles, 16th-century painted ceilings and ancient, great yew hedges and walled gardens set in the magnificent surroundings of Royal Deeside. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£14.50 pp)

Royal Lochnagar Distillery

We have tasting tour at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery or The Glen Garioch Distillery or The Fettercairn Distillery, depending on availability (included in cost). All distilleries have illustrious histories and produce amazing Scotch . You will be able to learn how it is made and sample some drams.

Balmoral Castle

This iconic castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. A must on all visitors to see list.
