Under the Loggia delle Grida, the names of those sentenced to death were shouted, while the crowd watched the executions as if it were a show. We will talk about the gallows, a symbol of relentless justice, and about crimes that have marked the city's history.

We will talk about Lombroso's follower, who studied the skulls of criminals and created a macabre archive of murderers and thieves. And there is no shortage of chilling episodes, such as those who were studied alive, or the drain for corpses at Santa Giulia, where they tried to make the skeletons surface as quickly as possible.
