During this unique exploration of the “heart of Lyon,” your guide-comedian (not in costume) will take you on a true journey through the city's culinary history.
You'll meet Mère Brazier and the Italians of the Renaissance, who will tell you about their contribution to Lyonnaise gastronomy. The “mâchons” (Lyonnaise-style brunch) from the time of the Canuts (silk weavers), tripe, and macarons will no longer hold any secrets for you!
This tour of Les Halles alternates between short, dramatised segments exploring the history of gastronomy and tastings of sweet and savoury delicacies: Lyonnais cold cuts accompanied by a glass of wine, local cheeses, quenelles, the iconic praline pie, as well as macarons and the famous Lyonnais “coussins.”
