The excursion programme includes:

• The Gur-Emir Mausoleum is the burial place of Tamerlane and his descendants. You will hear facts and legends related to it.
• Registan Square is the visiting card of Samarkand. I will tell you about the magnificent mosques and madrassas located on it.
• Bibi Khanum Cathedral Mosque - you'll admire its sky-blue dome and arch the size of the Milky Way.
• Khazrat Khizr Mosque, the olderst mosque of Samarkand, where the first President of Uzbekistan was buried.
• The Shahi-Zinda memorial complex is one of the mysterious architectural monuments of Samarkand. It is believed that this is where the grave of Kusam ibn Abbas, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad himself, is located.
• Ulugbek Observatory - I’ll tell you about the life and scientific methods of the great scientist, mathematician and astronomer Mirzo Ulugbek.

If we will have extra time, I propose (if desired) to also include in the excursion programme:

Silk Carpet Factory “Khujum”, you will see silk carpets being made by hand using ancient technology.
Paper Factory “Konigil”, the factory has restored the production of high-quality paper using ancient methods.
