Day 1: Chengdu
Welcome to Chengdu, the “Land of Abundance”. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city’s vibrant atmosphere and local delights.
Day 2: Chengdu
Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Observe giant pandas and their playful babies in a habitat designed to mimic their natural environment. Enjoy a hot pot lunch at Old House Restaurant, famous for its local flavours.
In the afternoon, visit Renmin Park, a local favourite for relaxation and recreation. Engage in traditional activities like dancing or playing mahjong, with an optional tea break. Explore Jinli Old Street, where traditional architecture showcases Sichuan’s rich history. In the evening, consider attending the mesmerising Face Changing show or stroll through Kuanzhai Alley, known for its delicious snacks.
Day 3: Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Jiuzhaigou. Your guide will greet you at the airport and take you to lunch near Chuanzhusi Temple. Post-lunch, visit Huanglong National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its colourful ponds, majestic mountains, and lush forests. Enjoy hiking or take a cable car to soak in the park's stunning beauty. Afterwards, drive to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou, approximately 1.5 hours away, and relax in preparation for tomorrow's adventure.
Day 4: Jiuzhaigou
Embark on a full-day excursion in Jiuzhaigou Valley, starting at Mirror Lake, famous for its tranquil reflections. Continue to Arrow Bamboo Lake and hike along the scenic path, taking in views of Panda Sea, Wuhua Flower Sea, and Nuorilang Waterfall. Lunch will be served at Nuorilang Restaurant inside the park, or enjoy a picnic at a scenic spot. In the afternoon, continue your hike through Shuzheng Valley, Rhinoceros Lake, and Sparkling Lake, marvelling at the breathtaking scenery. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel. For the evening, consider enjoying a captivating Tibetan dance show.
Day 5: Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu
Enjoy a leisurely morning at your hotel before being transferred to Jiuzhaigou airport for your flight back to Chengdu. Upon arrival, your Chengdu guide will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Today is free for you to explore at your own pace. Consider visiting Kuan Zhai Alley, a cultural site with charming Qing Dynasty architecture, perfect for shopping and dining.
Day 6: Chengdu
Enjoy your final morning at leisure. Check out by noon, and your guide will meet you at the scheduled time for your transfer to Chengdu airport for your departure flight.
