Day 1:
Kigali to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast in Kigali, meet your driver-guide for a safari briefing and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Continue through Rwanda’s scenic countryside before crossing into Uganda. Arrive near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel or similar.

Day 2:
Optional Gorilla Trekking
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for trekking briefing. Join an optional gorilla trekking in Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park at an additional permit cost of USD 850 per person. Trek through the rainforest with ranger guides in search of a habituated gorilla family and spend one unforgettable hour observing them. Non-trekkers may relax at the lodge or explore nearby communities.

Day 3:
Optional Golden Monkey Trekking
After breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for briefing before the optional golden monkey trekking experience in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park at USD 200 per person. Walk through bamboo forests with ranger guides while searching for the endangered golden monkeys. Once located, enjoy one hour observing their playful behaviour. Guests not participating may relax at the lodge or enjoy community walks around Kisoro. Accommodation: Travellers Rest Hotel or similar.

Day 4:
Batwa Cultural Experience & Coffee Tour
Visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience featuring traditional music, dance, storytelling, and insights into their forest heritage. After lunch, continue to a local coffee farm to learn about coffee growing, roasting, and brewing. End the day tasting freshly prepared Ugandan coffee while enjoying views of the surrounding highlands. Accommodation: Travellers Rest Hotel or similar.

Day 5:
Mgahinga to Kigali
After breakfast, check out and begin the scenic return drive to Kigali. Arrive later in the day for drop-off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
