Discover the varied mountain landscape of the Harz on a guided circular hike to the Bielsteinkopf and across the Schäder. Together with our host and certified mountain hiking guide Andreas, you will experience impressive views, idyllic forest paths, and the unspoiled nature of the Upper Harz.
The tour starts right at Hotel Der Wolfshof. First, the trail leads past the pastures of the Harz highland cattle before heading steadily uphill on well-maintained hiking trails to the Bielsteinkopf. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view over Lautenthal and the surrounding forests. During a short break, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature and learn more about the region and its history.
The hike then continues over the Schäder – one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the area. Along the way, you can expect varied forest landscapes, sweeping views, and numerous photo opportunities. At the Schäderbaude, there is another opportunity for a short break before we start the return journey to the hotel.
The return covers approximately 17.5 kilometres with about 460 metres of elevation gain and takes about 5 hours, depending on the pace of the group. The hike is moderately difficult and suitable for anyone with a good basic level of fitness.
Your four-legged companion is also welcome. Dogs are allowed to accompany you throughout the entire tour and discover the beauty of the Harz with you.
