Overview

  • This 4-day, 3-night experience offers travellers a deeper and more authentic immersion in the Peruvian Amazon, beyond a typical day trip. After travelling approximately two hours by boat from Iquitos, guests stay at Yakumama Amazon Lodge in a private room with a private bathroom.
With a maximum of eight travellers, the small-group format provides more personal attention from our local English- and Spanish-speaking guide. The programme combines guided rainforest hikes, sunrise birdwatching, piranha fishing, canoe and river excursions, night walks and respectful wildlife observation.
Ten scheduled meals, drinking-water refills, wellington boots and life jackets are included. Activities are adapted to weather, river levels and wildlife activity, allowing travellers to experience the Amazon safely and naturally. We never force animal interactions, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
