In the morning, we drive from Mekelle to Askoma a place where we will leave our cars (a starting point for trekking). On the way we will stop in Kesrawad to pick policemen and local guide. After the sun goes down, we have our dinner and start trekking (3 hours/camel for ride can be hired). We spend enough time visiting the lava lake, Erta Ale volcano.

Day 2: Erta Ale - Lake Asale - HamadEla

Early in the morning, you will have a 2nd chance of the lava lake if interested then we descend to Askoma. We have breakfast and relax for some time then drive to HamadEla a base camp near to Dallol on the way we stop in Berhale a town where our guide will finish a paper work. We take security and a local guide from HamadEla and proceed drive to the salt lake, Lake Asale. We spend the evening admiring the spectacular view of the sunset reflection on the lake.

Day 3: HamadEla - Dallol - Mekelle

In the morning after breakfast, we drive to Dallol to explore sites like the colourful place Dallol volcano, salt mountains, Sulphur lake locally known as a red lake and camel caravans & local salt mining (if available) then drive back to Mekelle where we will arrive at around 4:30pm. Lunch will be served on the way somewhere in a shadow or in Berhale.
