Misti Volcano (5,825 m) is just 23 km northeast of Arequipa, known as the white city of Peru. Our company offers this alternative trekking for adventurous people looking to hike to a base camp on the slopes of an active volcano. The Misti Volcano trek includes very beautiful landscapes of the highlands, villages and contrasting countryside around Arequipa. This short hike on the slopes of the Misti Volcano is available every day: the climb is not technical but it is difficult due to the altitude and everything depends on the physical condition of each participant to get as high as possible in a maximum time of 2H30M. It is recommended to do this hike in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset over Arequipa, but only during the dry season (from April to December), but during the rainy season it will be better to try it in the morning. Welcome an active volcano as well known as the symbol of the town of Arequipa and test your ability to walk at high altitude.
