The route follows the Shangri-La Eastern Ring Road, linking Tiger Leaping Gorge, Haba Village, Baishuitai, and Niru Village. Along the way, you'll experience two world-class treks and several hidden gems, each revealing a different face of Yunnan's extraordinary natural beauty.

We'll visit Tiger Leaping Gorge—one of the deepest and most spectacular canyons on Earth—and take in its upper section, where the gorge narrows and the river roars below. After driving you to the best viewpoints for unforgettable photos, we'll set off on a 4‑hour round‑trip hike along the high trail from Luke's Hostel to Empty Glass Platform. Perched at 2,680 metres, this cliff‑edge lookout offers a sheer drop that will leave you breathless.

Day 3: Shangri-la Haba Village -- Haba Black Lake Trail

Day 4: Shangri-la White Water Terrace -- Niru Village

Niru Village is a hidden Tibetan gem often called the "World's First Ecological Village" . Surrounded by ancient forests, flower-dotted meadows, and crystal-clear streams, this peaceful sanctuary offers a rare glimpse into untouched Tibetan culture and nature at its purest. It's a 4-hour drive from Baishuitai to Niru Village, where tomorrow's hike begins. We'll take a leisurely pace on the road, soaking in the mountain views along the way, and enjoy a peaceful evening to rest up for the trail ahead.

Day 5: Discover the Niru Qicai Waterfall Trail

Starting from the tranquil Tibetan village of Niru, the trail winds through ancient forests, crosses bubbling streams, and climbs gently to the breathtaking Colourful Waterfall — a 30-meter-high travertine cliff draped in vibrant mosses and minerals. When the sun hits the cascading water, rainbows circle the falls, creating a spectacle that feels straight out of a dream.
