This apartment exceeded our expectations, it was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more! The location is perfect: a 4 minute walk to about a dozen restaurants; 15 minute walk to major shopping plaza; 8 minute walk to a beautiful gentle beach. Parking at the door and excellent, friendly communication with the property manager.

Blissful Birchs Bay was the perfect base for exploring southern Tasmania. We were welcomed by a warm, cosy home that immediately felt inviting. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for families. The views were beautiful, the beach was right at our doorstep, and we loved spending time watching the birds and wildlife. Our kids especially enjoyed exploring outside and playing the board games provided during the rainy weather. The hosts were incredibly helpful, with excellent communication and a detailed guide full of local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. We left feeling relaxed and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this accommodation was exceptionally wonderful. The property itself was absolutely beautiful—timeless, elegant, and truly a special place to relax and unwind. Every detail contributed to a memorable experience, and we had such a great stay from beginning to end. A special mention must go to Philip, who was simply amazing. He attended to all of our needs with genuine warmth and care, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. In the evening, he made us drinks and desserts by the fire. To make our visit even more special, Philip surprised us with a beautiful birthday treat to celebrate my husband's birthday. The next morning, he greeted us with a delicious breakfast, and his company was so warm, embracing, and enjoyable. His hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We will absolutely be returning to this beautiful accommodation and look forward to experiencing its charm and elegance again in the future.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment. Very well appointed, very clean, very spacious and everything we needed. Kitchen facilities excellent just overall vey good quality accommodation. Warm and cozy, comfortable bedding. Location great. Would definitely stay again, value for money for sure.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I hope this saves someone from the headache and inconvenience we experienced. The actual condition of the property is far from what is pictured. It is dilapidated, dirty, and unfit for rental. There were dead bugs all over inside and a live scorpion, stains in the carpet, and the pantry had dirty empty containers. The outdoor grounds were covered in animal feces, with an empty pool, defunct hot tub, and rubbish about the property. We found alternative accommodations and left the property immediately. It’s a shame, because it could be beautiful place if it were actually kept up.

Cleanest hotel I have been to. Ricardo bakes a cake each day for the guests, the guest kitchen is stocked 24/7, stained glass windows, antique furniture, best water pressure shower of any hotel, spectacular views, walk to the red explorer bus stop, walk to Salamanca, walk to cafes. We will stay here every time we go to Hobart. Great communication with the owner and Ricardo. LOVE

Easy check in. Good free parking and outside room. Very good meals at the pub. Handy location. Room had been renovated which was good.

Good location, great view, great space. Couple of things let it down. You can see they do a clean between visitors but there is no sign of deep cleans. So much dust/stains. Seeing all that dust meant I didn’t trust the kitchen to be clean and only used it to make a cup of tea after washing the cup. It might have been clean but maybe it wasn’t. It is a bit of a shock when you walk into the property as there is low light and black walls with intense looking faces. Felt unsafe on initial approach. This eased once we got used to the place and realised it was part of the change philosophy. However kind of think customer should come first and that just is not a welcoming hallway.
