Nice stay good location and vibe

A fantastic find close to spinningfields and Victoria station! The gym is the best hotel gym I have encountered and plenty of other nice touches!

Me and my partners family stayed here for pre-graduation. The rooms are very compact, cosy and clean and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is also in a great location. We did however find a couple problems with the rooms. In one room the air-con wasn’t working which made it a very hot a sweaty evening/morning in an already stressful time getting ready for a graduation. In the other room we couldn’t get the lighting to work properly. The bar area was probably by biggest negative. Ordered 2 beers which both tasted like washing up liquid, the bar staff were struggling to pour a pint and had several attempts at such.

The hotel has gone through a change, Restaurent / breakfast area not around, just blocked off like a building site. When I asked reception about it, I kinda got an answer that was "no, its not available". So where was breakfast etc to be held. Breakfast was servered in boxes etc, I mean serioulsy what a complete mess. Hotel room was very warm, cant even keep the windows open!! No aircon, god knows how you can now survive another English summer, its got to be a health and safety issue for sure, The hotel needs to make people aware of what the hotel is going through, I was totally taken back, have over 10 years staying at this hotel before even when it was known as "The Place", wont be using this hotel going forward, sad :(
