The hotel is ok, very hard to find..Even when you are in the street it is not obvious the doorway is hidden which is very strange. I felt it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. The breakfast was very basic. Was surprised how little there was to do in Kaunas actually, (the second biggest city to the capital Vilnius which was much more interesting) Kaunas was like a ghost town.

The place is a gem - - hidden but a treasure to behold. For those wanting some peace or ‘off grid’ (kind of), this is the place to be. It is close to a river and I was told they have a library that can be accessed by the visitors. For a nominal fee, one can learn a bit of history of the monastery. Their restaurant prepares excellent meal. Their 9 course is a must try. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. If you need a transfer or ride to or from the monastery, the staff can arrange it. If given another chance, I will stay again at Monte Pacis. I love the feel of being in a historic place such as this. I definitely recommend this place to everyone even if you are only to stay one night. Their local tour guide was very knowledgeable. Overall I had fun being in this place.

My husband is a big breakfast believer we have stayed in many good hotels with lovely breakfast but this is the best by far ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So much variety and choice and also great wholesome foods ⭐️ Would recommend this hotel great location

Staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean. Water fountains in the hallways were a brilliant touch and can dispense cold, hot and sparkling water. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would stay again.
