Amazing clean room and great location

Nice big place, comfortable beds and good facilities

5 star prices for 3 star accommodation. Definitely would have been a lovely place to stay 20 years ago and by the look of the renovations will probably be nice again in a few years. However, for over $400 a night for a fairly basic room, the quality does not match the price tag. Most of the staff (not all) were nice enough but a few weren't particularly friendly. The bloke running the bar seemed to hate his job more and more every time I saw him there. There was also a woman I spoke to on the phone regarding the booking who wasn't particularly interested in helping sort out my issue. The room service each day seemed to not do a whole lot, including (intentionally it seemed) to be not replacing the toilet paper. And again, single ply toilet paper isn't something you expect at this prices, yet that is what was provided. The food menu from the restaurant was very basic and they seemed to run out fairly often of the nicer options. The drinks were all reasonably priced and cocktails were all a hit. The in room dining service was a waste of time. Very limited hours and food and drink options. The lagoon and services it offers with the paddle boarding, kayaks and that stuff is a nice extra but wouldn't be the reason to stay there. I think I'd still stay here again, although it would have to be at a lower price and when the renovations are complete.

Really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable, which made a big difference after a long day of travelling. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout – they went out of their way to answer questions and make sure everything was sorted. Wi-Fi was excellent – fast and reliable the whole time, which was perfect for work and streaming. Parking was easy and convenient, right on site with plenty of space. Overall a solid stay with great value. Would happily recommend and stay again.
