Civetta Waterpark Holidays

VERY pleasant staff to a degree of 100%. Very good and wide ranging breakfast. Very nice indoor and outdoor sitting areas. 5 stories tall but the elevator was not working. Air conditioning except in the main lobby was week everywhere. Lowest temperature in Room 203 was 79 degrees with no A/C in the bathroom…which is very common in Venice. Lowest achievable temperature in Rooms 501 and 502 were 85 degrees. Only 50 feet from the Ca’Doro Vaporetto #1 drop…VERY convenient. The outdoor temperature was 95 degrees for 3 days, so I am certain that this hotel would be exceptional if the outdoor temperature was always below 82 degrees. All of Venice was very high temperature stifling during this trip. I would enthusiastically stay there again if that were the case….cooler by at least 13 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors.

Comfy beds, good location, amazing views.

We booked Hotel Boite largely because of the spa, which is prominently featured throughout the hotel’s photos and booking page. This was very misleading. The spa is not part of the hotel—it’s a 10-minute walk or short drive away. After a long hike, we wasted time searching for the sauna before the front desk told us it was at a separate facility. To compensate, they gave us one free hour at the spa but failed to mention towels were not provided. We were told to either rent towels for €5 each or walk back to the hotel to get our own. The spa itself was also disappointing, with the “vascular path” consisting of little more than painful rocks. Housekeeping was equally frustrating. Our room wasn’t cleaned until late afternoon, our towels weren’t replaced, and staff left cleaning supplies in our bathroom. We put them in the hallway, and they were still there the next day. For a hotel claiming to be four stars, it misses many of the details that matter. The staff was not particularly attentive, there was no coffee in the room, breakfast was entirely self-service, and the air conditioning barely worked, leaving our room over 80°F every night. The location is convenient for exploring the Dolomites, but overall the misleading spa advertising, poor housekeeping, lack of attention to detail, and nonfunctional AC made this a disappointing stay.

We had a good stay overall and found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the room itself was pleasant. There were a few drawbacks that future guests may want to consider. The location was a bit farther from the main attractions than we had anticipated, which made getting around slightly less convenient. We were also surprised that there was no restaurant attached to the hotel, meaning there was no room service or on-site dining option available. Additionally, I was traveling with my mother, who has some mobility challenges, and she found getting in and out of the bathtub difficult. We ended up needing a step stool, so I would recommend the property consider accessibility improvements or provide better information about bathroom accessibility features. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but given the price we paid, I don't think we would choose this hotel again in the future. That said, the staff and accommodations themselves were very good.

Comfy and stylish hotel in the center of Cortina. Room was on the small side with large furniture. Gym was tiny and dark but did the trick.
