Good location, clean property. The bathroom door is stained glass so not completely private.

I will start by saying that I would highly recommend the 1 Hotel Mayfair. The staff are lovely & the rooms are great. This is my 3rd stay there & it didn’t go quite as well as it has in the past. I always bring my dog with me and they usually provide dog wipes so that you can wipe off their feet before entering the hotel room and those were unfortunately not provided this time and they said that they didn’t have them. That was a bummer because I would’ve brought my own, but I didn’t because I anticipated them being in the room again. I would say my biggest disappointment was with room service. I would not recommend the tomato Barada pizza. It is covered in dried tomato paste and then portions of Barada, but it was not very tasty and it was just not what I had expected at all. The tomato sauce is weird and even the Barada is a little weird. In the morning, I ordered a California burrito and ask them to add a few ingredients. They forgot the tomatoes, but they added spicy pickles and because I absolutely hate pickles. The whole burrito was pretty much ruined. When I called them and let them know about it, they said that they would try to take it off the bill. They did in fact take it off of the Bill, but I had a little giggle over the fact that they still charged me for the Latte. I would’ve thought that they would’ve Just exited out the entire breakfast, Bill. It’s not a big deal. I just found it a little funny. This location is very nice. It’s clean, smells good, and is super close to the train. My husband and I brought our daughters age 17 and 13. We had a fully booked trip of seeing all the things… and this location was safe, clean, and nicely by public transportation. We didn’t spend a ton of time at the hotel specifically but the rooms were adorable and clean. A great size I imagine, given the price. We were really happy and I’d recommend this location.

The size of the hotel and cleanliness was amazing! However we had issues throughout our stay with the washing machine breaking while our clothes were inside, the AC shutting off every hour and our key cards kept no longer working. The hotel staff was really helpful in giving other options to help everything not working.

I love this place. Perfect location,incredibly helpful staff and having a kitchen is priceless.

The rooms were very small compared to other RIU hotels. The staff were not very friendly, and the breakfast was not very good compared to other RIU properties I have stayed at. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations. I have come to expect from RIU hotels.

Good service, clean, safe, they need only to upgrade the breakfast a bit.

The good: Location, location, location: close to Victoria train station, major attractions, shopping, restaurants, and Chinatown. Decent breakfast a definite plus. Clean. The not so good: Tight Bathroom even for one person, forget two people in there. Very weak shower water pressure made bathing a challenge. Fairly hard mattress. No room service. No ice machine Narrow corridors with cleaning carts making walking single file.
