Overall experience was very good. The suite was unusually decorated, large and clean. It was at the front of the hotel and there was some residual noise from the street. AC was good and housekeeping was efficient. It’s in a good location for Via Etna, Piazza Duomo and other spots and very close to a host of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to interact with them. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not in keeping with the style or ‘sense’ of the hotel. The restaurant struggled to keep with the demand of a lot of guests having breakfast at the same time. There was very little information about the services in the hotel. Nothing in the room or advertised around the hotel. The gym was very small.

The staff was very friendly. Checking in was wonderful. I really liked the woman at reception. The hotel was clean and modern inside, the room was a nice size. They even had a small kitchen, But! If you plan on ACTUALLY sleeping, this is NOT the hotel for you. If you want to go out late and eat and drink, it’s perfect and the location is great! Otherwise, the noise outside went on until past 3-4 am right outside the window. Even after the bars closed. Then the garbage trucks started. At some point, I opened my phone and tried white noise, brown noise, rain even the inside of a train sounds for noise canceling, nothing worked. I went into my luggage and found a small portable speaker to amplify it. It still wasn’t loud enough. I moved it around the room closest to the noise, then closest to my pillow, There was yelling and horns and loud music. It was unbearable at some point. Desperate to sleep, as I had been traveling, I found two cereal bowls in the cupboard and tried to make a small speaker amplifier putting my small speaker inside one and out the other bowl partially tilted on top with an opening facing me to magnify sound. I thought I was staying near the airport for an early flight, I didn’t know I was signing up for an on the spot engineering class. I got MAYBE an hours sleep in. But if you want to stay in the middle of town, and don’t care about sleeping at all and having the town at your doorstep this is the place for you!

My husband and I just want to say thank you to the manager and front desk receptionist for their service helping navigate our situation due to our flight cancellation out of Catania. They went above and beyond and we are very appreciative of their hospitality. The hotel itself is on the older side, but still very nice and within walking distance of the Piazza and all the restaurants.

For what you're paying this place is a real let down - my room toilet had a bad smell coming from it, you have to ask at reception if they will put the aircon on in your room but never tell you this at check in so my first night was really warm, the rooms are dark and overall I just felt I had been tricked into thinking it was anywhere close to a 5 star hotel. Overall a very poor experience
