Stay for a few days on our first time being in Rome. The area (East-end of Pratti) is very nice, quiet, pedestrian friendly and heavier with locales rather than tourists. The restaurant in the hotels provides an excellent breakfast. The staff clearly have experience working together as a team. 24/7 staffed reception was a helpful benefit.

Close to Rome Termini. Nice clean room. Well decorated. Helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was so so although we can see the effort. Room was hard to get to. Disastrous if there was a fire. We felt a little uneasy despite we’re sure it must have passed regulations.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Splendide Royal Roma did not meet our expectations. The front-desk staff came across as quite snooty and unwelcoming, and our room had a very unpleasant musty smell. I understand that this is a historic hotel, but considering the price guests are paying, the hotel should invest in better ventilation, high-quality diffusers, or another solution to keep the rooms smelling fresh. We were also disappointed to discover that there is no swimming pool or spa at the hotel. Guests may use these facilities at the sister hotel, approximately 20 minutes away, but there is an additional charge of €40 per person on weekends and €18 per person on weekdays. I believe this should be clearly explained to guests upon arrival—or, preferably, before booking. Overall, we were not impressed with the service, facilities, or value. Sadly, we would not return.

Amazing location in Rome and the rooms are modern and comfortable albeit a little small. No drink making facilities in the rooms with a coffee machine only in the reception. They put this on free vend during the hours of breakfast. This hotel is desperate for drinks in the room

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was the perfect place for our first few days in Rome. The location was amazing — we were able to walk almost everywhere and were so close to so many of the main sights, restaurants, cafés, and everything we wanted to experience. It made exploring Rome so easy. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and such a nice place to come back to after long days walking around the city. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. We had such a great experience here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. We would definitely stay again!
