The Pelican Hotel is an amazing boutique hotel with an outstanding restaurant! It has 33 individually themed rooms owned by Renzo Rosso, the Italian fashion mogul and founder of the Diesel clothing brand. There is a lot of attention to detail put into this hotel and the location is prime. The hand stamped copper elevator takes you to your room and speak easy rooftop. We had Rm 202, an oversized very large vintage themed king suite overlooking the main blvd. It had a view of muscle beach, the ocean and the sidewalk for some great people watching. It had windows wrapped around both sides of the room which was awesome. It had a little noise at night since it's on the main blvd, but they all do being in the epicenter. It didn't hinder us from a good nights sleep in the plush California King bed with crisp sheets and a duvet topper:) The service has been outstanding!! The staff really care about the guests, evident on many levels, and went above and beyond. It has been a long time since I feel like I had really great service, outstanding food, and a couple of generous offerings thrown in. If you're a guest at the hotel, you get a few options for an oversized, complimentary jumbo cocktail every evening. The 1st night we opted for the spicy, scratch made margarita and night 2 we got the Aperol Spritz with approval from the mgr. They also have a generous happy hour. The hotel is in a great location but was disappointed in my room. The closet was more like a cupboard and I had to get creative on hanging my clothes. There is no chest for drawers. The lighting switches are confusing but figured them out. Even on the full lighting, the room is dim. The staff was great.

We stayed at the W Hotel for the Guns N’ Roses concert at Allegiant Stadium, and the location couldn’t have been better — quick, easy access and no hassle getting to the venue. Our room itself was gorgeous: huge, beautifully designed, with a fantastic shower, a separate bath, and plenty of space for clothes. We also really appreciated having an extra restroom. However, a few things let the stay down. When we asked reception why there were two pairs of slippers but only one robe, we were told that rooms only come with one robe — which felt absolutely ridiculous for a double‑occupancy room. There was also no kettle available when we requested one. From our window, all we could hear were the air‑conditioning units outside, which was disappointing given the otherwise lovely room. Amenities were surprisingly limited for a hotel at this level — just shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The gym was a standout, though: genuinely well equipped and far better than many hotel gyms we’ve seen around the world. We were annoyed that building work wasn’t mentioned anywhere, and the Sky Lounge was closed without warning. Reception also felt understaffed; yes, digital check‑in/out was offered, but I prefer speaking to a human and having the chance to ask questions. Room service arrived in bags rather than on a trolley. Overall, a beautiful room in a great location.

⚠️ FAIR WARNING to anyone thinking about booking a stay at THE LEEF. We stayed for 3 days/2 nights. The room itself is cute, and while there’s no microwave—which is inconvenient—it wasn’t a huge deal. What IS a huge deal is that we found TWO ROACHES in our room on the very first night. I reported it the following morning, but they weren’t able to provide us with a different room. Instead, I was offered cleaning services for that day and one day of free parking (aka $10) as compensation. However, on the next morning - checkout day, we found TWO MORE ROACHES. Four roaches during a two-night stay is absolutely unacceptable. A hotel should be able to provide guests with a clean, pest-free room, and the fact that we continued finding roaches after reporting the issue is disgusting. And don’t expect much when it comes to customer service. The so-called “lobby” is essentially just a screen with a virtual representative. When you have an actual issue that requires assistance, it makes the experience even more frustrating. I genuinely hope no one else has to worry about accidentally bringing roaches home with them after staying here. Do yourself a favor: if you value cleanliness and want a pest-free stay, DON’T STAY AT THE LEEF.
