Indian Cove Boy Scout Trail Ski Holidays

The Line is a new wave hipster hotel, relatively recent construction using the bare cement decor reminiscent of low security prisons. Desk staff and valets were incredibly helpful - as they should have been for a $65/day parking fee and an undisclosed (until checkout) "amenity fee" of $38 per day, altogether adding more than $300 to a 3-day stay at an already healthy day rate of about $240. The only scrap of floor space not filled with our king sized bed and attached useless desk was occupied by two low chairs and a.... thing... between them. It looked like small wooden blocks stacked on a crate. Maybe it was bad sculpture. I would have guessed coffee table, except you'd have to balance your coffee on top of one of the stacks of blocks. The cool motorized curtains did block the light, until they started going up and down on their own at random times including at 3am, waking us up, and at 8am when we were still in bed. TThey did seem to be fixed after some intervention from the staff.Party noise went late on the Friday and Saturday nights we were there. Next time I'lll try the Normandie next door.

The light switches were inadequate; the switch needed to be just "flicked". There was no info telling us the only way to turn the lights on throughout the room was to "flick" the switch. The TV remote malfunctioned. The numbers on the TV screen did not indicate which shows were on which channels. There was no luggage rack, so we had to retrieve our packed luggage items from the bed or floor. When I reported the luggage rack issue, the assistant manager said I needed to request one from housekeeping! There was no makeup mirror and the light above the sink was dim. The switch to the small table lamp on the night stand was broken so there was no way to turn it on. A note was on the phone that instructed me to "use the QR code by the bed to access the phone." There was no QR to be found on either side of the bed. The pillows were uncomfortable; my husband's neck ached upon awakening. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes just to get an answer from the simple question, "What is checkout time?" How about placing a small sign indicating checkout time on the small table between the two chairs or on the door? We will not be returning to this hotel.

The pictures don’t lie very nice property

While the day is always wonderful, the air conditioner did not work and never got below 71 they even were accommodating and tried to move us to a different room which still was at 71.

Best idea to stay here overnight before travel to avoid stressful LA traffic. The Breakfast was delicious and the shuttle service super friendly. We look forward to coming back.
